Grimsargh Wetlands Trust

Project management of website project and copywriting of website content.

Background

We volunteered our marketing and copywriting experience to support local charity, Grimsargh Wetlands Trust, with the delivery of a new website.

Client requirements

The Trust wanted their new website to be able to:

  • Promote the wetlands as a nature attraction / destination
  • Promote events / guided walks etc.
  • Attract funding / new members / sponsorship
  • Share insights regarding flora and fauna at the nature reserve
  • Attract new volunteers to assist with the upkeep of the site.
How we helped

We worked with Grimsargh Wetlands Trust to understand their objectives, translating this into a detailed website brief which we put out to tender.

This resulted in over 20 tender submissions which we analysed, working with the Trust to shortlist three suppliers for interview. We organised the interviews on behalf of the Trust, and appointed web developers, ID Design & Marketing, to deliver the project.

“We have been so fortunate to have you overseeing the team. Your marketing experience has proved invaluable and will doubtless be invaluable in the years to come.” Trustee, Grimsargh Wetlands Trust.

Working closely with the amazing team at ID Design & Marketing, we oversaw delivery of the project in line with the Trust’s objectives, and drafted the content for the site that you see today.

Results

Since launch, the website has proved to be a great success in helping to promote Grimsargh Wetlands both nationally and internationally, receiving thousands of hits from as faw away as the US & Canada.

The site is both professional, attractive, informative and user friendly, with a bespoke wildlife database created by ID Design & Marketing, to enable visitors to the site to find out more about the flora and fauna of the nature reserve.

“Your professionalism, friendliness, expertise, patience and enthusiasm have shone through, throughout, and the trustees are delighted with the excellent website, which will hopefully help to raise the profile of Grimsargh Wetlands Trust, at a local, and a national level too.”

The website has already resulted in several new local volunteers registering with the Trust, as well as new member registrations and several donations.

We are now providing ongoing marketing support to the Trust in the upkeep of the website content, as well as wider marketing, PR and social media assistance.

It has been such an interesting project to work on, we’ve learned so much about nature in the process, and the pleasure has been all ours.

“You have worked tirelessly on behalf of the Trust and I cannot thank you enough for your one hundred per cent commitment to the website and sheer hard work producing copy for the webpages and marketing the Trust to other media agencies. You are an inspiration!”
